Recording of an individual common nightingale (luscinia megarhynchos).

I have endeavoured to isolate the nightingale's song from its environment using a single Sennheiser MKH 8020 in an Innercore parabolic dish. Some high-pass filtering and noise reduction has been used also.

An extended recording seems appropriate given the nightingales endless invention in its song.

Recorded at 5:45 am on 24th April, 2025 in Provence, France.
